GGI Director briefs EU Parliament on ‘Reinforcing the impact of CSDP through partnerships’

On 12 November 2015, GGI Director Joachim Koops was invited to speak at the Public Hearing on "Cooperation with third countries and organisations in the field of ‪CSDP”, organised by the SEDE Subcommittee of the European Parliament.



The Global Governance Institute (GGI) Director Joachim Koops briefed the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Security and Defence (SEDE) on “Reinforcing the impact of CSDP through partnerships”. The presentation was part of the public hearing on “Cooperation with third countries and organisations in the field of CSDP”.

The public hearing presented an overview of the current CSDP partnerships with third countries and organisations, the possibilities of evolution and general tendencies.

The discussion was chaired by Anna Fotyga, Chair of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence, with the participation of  Clara Ganslandt, Head of Division, CSDP, partnerships and agreements (EEAS), Anas Alami-Hamedane, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Morocco to the European Union and Rory Keane, Head of the UN Liaison Office for Peace and Security, Brussels.
