On 29 October (18.00 – 20.00) the Global Governance Institute (GGI), in cooperation with Vesalius College Brussels, the Institute for European Studies and the Belgian Royal Military Academy will organise the next European Peace & Security Studies (EPSS) Lecture.
The Lecture will focus on the theme of “North Africa 5 Years after the Arab Spring”.

Riccardo Fabiani, Senior Analyst, Eurasia Group
Riccardo Fabiani is a senior analyst on North Africa with Eurasia Group, one of the leading global political risk advisory and consulting firms. He focuses on Algeria, Mauritania, Morocco, Israel, Tunisia and Libya, with a particular emphasis on the region’s Islamist movements, terrorism, and political economy.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Mr. Fabiani worked as a senior economist on the Middle East and North Africa at D&B Country Risk Services and as a remote analyst on North Africa for Exclusive Analysis. Previously, he held positions at Reuters and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He regularly appears in the media, with television appearances on networks such as Bloomberg, Fox News, CNBC and BNN and frequently provides commentary for international publications including Time, and Algeria’s El Watan and the newswires Reuters, and the Associated Press.
Mr. Fabiani holds an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, an MA in Political Science from the University of RomaTre and has studied in Paris, Jerusalem, Istanbul, and Cairo. Riccardo is fluent in French and Italian, and conversant in Arabic.
