Dennis Brownlee

Dennis Brownlee is a master’s candidate in International Relations with a concentration of security studies at Syracuse University (New York, United States) with the Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs. With a background in public affairs and strategic communications in a global context, Dennis’ policy interests lie in international security with a geographic focus in Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. He has authored papers in his graduate studies ranging from private military companies to maritime piracy. Dennis also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in global politics from California State University, Long Beach (California, United States), graduating magna cum laude. He has previously interned for the United States Federal Government such as the U.S. Department of State at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York City, the U.S. Agency for International Development at the Eastern & Southern Caribbean Mission in Barbados, and U.S. Africa Command remotely.
