Eva Froneberg

Peace and Security

Eva Froneberg is a Non-Resident Fellow with the Peace & Security Section. She is a Research Associate/ PhD Fellow at the Center for Conflict Studies at the Philipps University Marburg in Germany.

Her research investigates the role of higher education in peacebuilding and reconciliation processes with a regional focus on Southeast Asia. Before starting her PhD, she worked as a tutor/lecturer for the Bachelor of Security Studies at Leiden University for over two years, where she was also a Board Member for Women in International Security (WIIS) Netherlands and on the editorial committee of the Leiden Security and Global Affairs Blog. Prior to this she worked with the Asia Regional Team at Search for Common Ground in Washington, D.C., and spent a year in Bangladesh as a World Teach Fellow at the Asian University for Women. Eva holds a Master of Social Sciences in Peace and Conflict Research from Uppsala University in Sweden and a BA in International Affairs from Vesalius College in Belgium.
