Silke Rusch

Peace and Security

Silke Rusch is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow in the Peace and Security Section. She currently serves as Senior Programme Management Officer with the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Her area of expertise is UN peacekeeping and mediation, including the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration of armed groups and Transitional Justice. She has served with the United Nations at headquarters in New York and Geneva, and in the UN field missions in the Central African Republic, Libya and Sudan. Ms Rusch holds a Masters in Political Sciences from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), a Maîtrise en droit from the Universite de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne), and an LL.M. from the University of Cologne.
