University of Warwick delegation visits GGI to explore cooperation

On 12 February 2024 Warwick University’s Professor George Christou (Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor Europe and Professor of European Politics and Security) and Michael Haymes (Associate Director of International Strategy and Relations at University of Warwick) visited GGI at its offices in Brussels to explore cooperation and partnerships in the field of research, education and training and policy-relevant initiatives.

Topics of mutual interest include joint project and grant applications on topics and themes related to European issues and global governance, implications of technology for politics and security (with a particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Global Governance), the organisation of joint policy workshops and potential cooperation in education and policy traineeship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Discussions also focused on cooperation in the field of higher education teaching excellence and doctoral education with a focus on advancing transversal skills at the intersection of academia and policy-making and policy advice.
