GGI’s Asia Programme seeks to be a bridge between the EU and Asia, and a knowledge hub on EU-Asia relations. The relevance of and need for better Europe-Asia Pacific relations has become even more crucial in the current evolution of the international system driven by a global power shift towards Asia, its rise in global governance, increasingly interlinked trade and value chains, and the growing impact of Asian security issues on international affairs and vice versa. Tackling the climate crisis too will require stronger cooperation between both regions. Our Asia Programme connects think tanks, policy analysts, policy makers and experts on both continents, and promotes peer cooperation in analysis, debates, and shared policy solutions.
The programme is led by Gauri Khandekar, and focuses on global governance, security, trade, climate, and energy.
