On 21 October 2025, the launch event of the Erasmus+ project URBAN MENUS – Dialogue with a Resilient Future took place at the historic Künstlerhaus in Vienna. The gathering brought together project partners and invited voices from culture, governance, architecture, and civil society to reflect on two years of collaboration exploring how resilience can be embedded into the design of cities and communities.
Rather than a conventional closing conference, the event unfolded as a living dialogue — a space for exchange and encounter within immersive settings combining virtual reality, sound, and visual installations. Participants engaged with future scenarios co-created throughout the project by partners from Brussels, Milan, Barcelona, Graz, Vienna, and Kyiv.
Over the course of the project, partners developed innovative tools and methodologies for visualising and debating urban futures through interdisciplinary and participatory approaches. The final gathering at Künstlerhaus symbolised this spirit of cross-sector collaboration, highlighting cultural intelligence as a key ingredient for sustainable urban transformation.
The Global Governance Institute, as one of the project partners, contributed expertise on governance and resilience in complex urban systems, linking the project’s outcomes to broader European dialogues on sustainable development and civic participation.
