On 28 October 2025, the Global Governance Institute welcomed a group of students from VOYCE, a pan-European youth-led think tank active across more than forty universities in Europe. Its primary goal is to promote youth involvement in EU policy-making, and the delegates’ trip to Brussels aimed to investigate how young Europeans can engage with policy-making and multilaterlaism within the EU’s core.

During their Brussels visit – which included visits to the Council of the EU and the European Parliament – students from diverse backgrounds attended a lecture at GGI on fundamental concepts of global governance, discussing its origins, development, and current challenges.

Aside from the thematic sessions, GGI offered valuable perspectives on how think tanks serve as a link between academia and policy, demonstrating the role of independent organisations like GGI in shaping policy decisions through evidence-based research.

The visit concluded with a dynamic discussion on youth engagement in policy-making and global affairs, providing the students with the unique learning opportunity to share their opinions with policy experts and gain an insider view on the work of an international think tank located in Brussels.
